Liz Caldwell

The Chair – Liz Caldwell

Liz has been involved with SCEP since 2001 and for 4 years was employed by Bristol University as a Technician on the Project.  Along with fellow SSARG committee member Nigel Harvey, she runs a small business, GeoFlo, offering Geophysical Survey and Soil Sample Processing to archaeologists in the Southwest.  She is also interested in lithic analysis, and is a member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists. Liz is also continuing in her previous role as our Social Secretary.

Clare Randall

Archaeological Research Director – Clare Randall BA BSc MSc

Clare has more than 25 years experience in archaeology.  She is an osteoarchaeologist currently completing a PhD at Bournemouth University studying the exploitation of animals in the Bronze and Iron Ages in the South West of Britain.  She does some occasional undergraduate teaching on the analysis of human remains, and teaches evening classes in archaeology for Dorset Adult Learning.

Ken Mycock

Webmaster - Ken Mycock

Ken has been involved in local history research in and around Charlton Mackrell and Charlton Adam for about 15 years and joined SCEP in January 2009.  He makes no claims to being an archaeologist, but has been involved with a group researching the landscape history of the Lytes Cary estate for the National Trust and was our Project Leader for SSARG's work there.  If you have any corrections or constructive comments on the website, please
